Council Member Tamikia Jackson
Tamikia Jackson has been an active community member of Groesbeck for over 40 years. She is a 1994 Honor Graduate of Groesbeck High School. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from University of Texas of Arlington and a Social Work Master Degree from Texas State University.
She is employed as a Program Director for Child Protective Services and has been an employee there for over 18 yrs. She attends Lone Start Baptist Church in Groesbeck.
She is the parent of one daughter, Jaleanna Jackson. They have made their home in Groesbeck for several years and believes this is a great place to live and serve as a representative of this great city.
Mayor Pro Tem Matthew Dawley
Councilman Matthew Dawley has been a member of the Groesbeck Community for 33 years. A 1999 Graduate of Groesbeck High School, he is a graduate of Texas State Technical College with a degree in diesel mechanics. He was employed by Groesbeck ISD for 4 years as a diesel mechanic and then given the opportunity to work for XTO Energy as a natural gas compressor and engine mechanic. Matthew has been employed for XTO for 8 years. He is the son of Fred and Kay Dawley, lifelong residents of Groesbeck and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Groesbeck, "I was raised to believe everyone has an opinion and that everyone matters. I want to be that voice for every citizen."

Council Member Michael Thompson
Councilman Michael Thompson is a retired Special education
teacher with the Groesbeck ISD. Prior to working for GISD he was co-owner of
Buck’s Pizza in Groesbeck for 7 years. Before starting Buck’s Pizza he was a
career officer with the US Army. He retired in 2004 as a LTC.
Michael is a 1973 graduate of GHS. He graduated with a BS in
Accounting from McNeese State University in Lake Charles LA in 1981. He earned
his MBA from McNeese in 1987 while on active duty in the military. He went on
to earn a MS in Strategic Intelligence from the JMIC at Bolling AFB in
Washington DC in 1993.
During his 22-year military career he served two tours in
Germany, a tour with the US MLO Belize and several stateside tours. He was a
career military intelligence officer.
